Dr. Elizabeth Fallon, Director of Academic Assistance, reached out to me to let you know that they are still accepting applications for Graduate Assistantships. As a PCOE partner program, these GA positions have tuition waivers attached and a stipend. As part of University College, the Academic Achievement Center (AAC) provides students with the support they need to reach their highest level of academic excellence. The AAC houses key Academic Assistance programs: Supplemental Instruction (SI) is organized group tutoring for historically difficult courses, while one-on-one tutoring sessions are conducted through the subject-specific Peer Tutoring program, the Writing Commons, and the Academic Coaching program. This graduate position will assist in the operations of one or more of these programs. The position provides professional learning experiences in organizing and leading undergraduate trainings/workshops, mentoring and supervising a diverse group of student leaders, assessing and developing academic success strategies, and investigating and enhancing program success through data collection, analysis, and reporting.
