Subject: internship positions

Dear Colleague,

I am re-sending this email to you as a reminder that The Counseling Source, Inc. is still open to hiring for internships.

I wanted to make you aware of our agency's desire in establishing a professional connection and to offer my agency's resources and support to your Counseling graduate students. I will be reaching out twice a year with this email to let you know we’re still available for taking internships.

In the nearly five years I have been working for The Counseling Source, I have not stopped learning.

This agency places itself on the cutting edge of providing service to some of our most vulnerable citizens, those living in nursing homes and DD community sites, and those attending public schools.

If only I'd known about this agency when I was in graduate school, because

The Counseling Source offers field placement for second year MSW and Counseling graduate

students.

Employing close to 200 clinicians who serve clients throughout the state of Ohio, we offer excellent clinical

training and supervision to assist students in developing their clinical skills.

Certified as an AOD provider, with a trauma-informed orientation, our clinicians are theoretically

based in a wide variety of modalities. Our recent shift to focusing on Positive Psychology aims to reduce employee compassion fatigue as it bolsters our clients' abilities to navigate life challenges.

Agency-based CE programs are available and encouraged. Employees also have access to an online

training provider. As a bonus, students are paid for their service.

We welcome students who are looking to make a difference in the lives of the people we serve. In addition to student internships, our agency is open to hiring alumni of your program, as we primarily employ Master’s-level licensed clinicians.

Please contact us by replying to this email or call the number below if you have questions.

With Appreciation,

Christina M Scott, MEd, LPCC-S, NCC

Midwest Play Therapy Institute Co-Coordinator

School-Based Therapist

Wellness Coordinator and University Liaison
