I am contacting you to participate in a dissertation pilot study of counselor education students regarding preparedness in addressing eating disorders and body image.

The purpose of this study is to understand eating disorder and body image training and predictors of preparedness to address these concerns in a counseling or school setting.

Participation would involve completion of a demographic survey and a short questionnaire addressing training and exposure to eating disorders and negative body image within and outside of the practicum/internship experience. Participation in this survey is estimated to take less than 10 minutes of your time.

You must meet all criteria to participate in the study. Criteria for participation includes:
Participants must be 18 years of age or older.
Participants must be enrolled in a master’s or doctoral level counselor education program.

There are no direct benefits to you as a result of your participation; however, your participation may contribute to greater understanding of counselor trainee preparedness to address eating disorders and body image with their clients or students. You may withdraw or decline without penalty at any time.
