ACES is committed to the development of its graduate student members. Students enrolled in their graduate studies in counselor education and supervision programs will find opportunities to work with and learn from current faculty members and leaders in the counseling profession. In addition, the conferences provide opportunities to network with other counseling professionals, and to present their research and experiences to professional colleagues.

Aligning with the ACES strategic plan of promoting leadership in the counseling profession, ACES is currently accepting applications from graduate student members to serve as volunteer leaders at the 2019 ACA conference. Volunteer leaders will have the opportunity to network with board members and ACES leaders. Additionally, ACES will provide a $200 stipend for the attendance of the ACA Conference.

Volunteers will be expected to (1) engage in a minimum of 4 hours of service at the ACA convention in New Orleans (i.e., facilitating interest network group meetings); (3) One month prior to ACA 2019 volunteers will submit three 250 words blurbs on designated ACES interest networks; (4) will submit 5 pictures with accompanying posts related to ACES activity/involvement at the ACA 2019 conference to the ACES Social Media / Web Manager; and (5) attend a 30-minute virtual meeting prior to ACA 2019.

Applicants need to (1) be current graduate student members of ACES; (2) agree to the outlined volunteer expectations; and (3) not currently holding a service position with ACES national or within a region.

Please respond by emailing Joshua Castleberry (jcastleberry4 at student.gsu.edu<mailto:jcastleberry4 at student.gsu.edu?subject=Volunteer%20Leaders>) with your name, ACES region, program affiliation, year of graduate studies, and with a brief statement of interest in this volunteer opportunity (i.e., maximum of 250 words).

Applications are due February 28th
