It is our pleasure to announce that the 2019 Evidence-Based School Counseling Conference<http://www.umass.edu/schoolcounseling/EBSCC_index.php> (EBSCC) will be co-hosted by Alpha Lambda Rho, The Ohio State Counseling Program chapter of Chi Sigma Iota, and will be held March 10-11, 2019 at The Ohio State University.  The EBSCC provides school counselors with critical information about successful practice, evaluation, and relevant research to create dynamic and powerful school counseling programs.  Counselor Educators and School counselors in our region are doing important work making data-driven decisions, using interventions to meet student needs, and evaluating the impact of their programs.  Please consider submitting a presentation proposal sharing the work you are doing!  Presentation proposals<http://www.umass.edu/schoolcounseling/EBSCC_proposals.php> are due October 15.

The EBSCC moves around the country and this is the first time it has been held in the Midwest in four years.  We hope school counselors in our region take full advantage. Our keynote this year for Day 1 is Dr. Anita Young, from Johns Hopkins University, and the keynote for Day 2 is the school counseling leadership team from Lakeview Junior High School in Pickerington, OH.  Both will bring incredible wisdom and insight into successful school counseling practice!

For those interested in advancing their capacity to conduct school counseling research there is an EBSCC Pre-Conference Research Day on Saturday, March 9, 2019.
