Sometimes, the counselor intentionally becomes involved in a case as an expert or because they have agreed to take on a forensic or court involved role. Other times, the counselors work with the client does not initially carry with it an expectation of court involvement – but for a variety of reasons still leads to the counselor having to testify.

We have seen shifts in the manner in which individuals share information about their grief and seek support and understanding. We have also seen shifts in how individuals provide support and understanding (or not) for those who are grieving.
