increasing number of counselors are called as witnesses in court proceedings involving their clients. Sometimes, the counselor intentionally becomes involved in a case as an expert or because they have agreed to take on a forensic or court involved role. Other
times, the counselors work with the client does not initially carry with it an expectation of court involvement – but for a variety of reasons still leads to the counselor having to testify.
