We are planning a Mental Health Symposium on the topic of Sexual Assault and need a speaker for this event.  It will be held the end of March and could be moved to April if needed. It will be  held at Southern State Community College in Hillsboro, Ohio and is open to students studying in the mental health field.   We need to provide CEUs as it will be open to area providers and school counselors, as well.  This will be a one day event beginning at 9:00 AM and ending about 3:30 PM



The purpose of the event is to serve to:

  *       Increase awareness on this topic in schools and college campuses
  *       Clear up misunderstandings and falsehoods as to how victims respond to trauma
  *       Educate mental health professionals on current trends and treatment methods for victims of assault
  *       Provide opportunities for students interested in mental health professions to connect with current practitioners.  This program will have a career element provided during breaks.
  *       CEUs will be provided at no charge
