[Counselor_Educ] FW: two full-time Visiting Assistant Professor positions open at Syracuse University

Syracuse University Counseling and Human Services Department seeks a counselor educator to fill two full-time Visiting Assistant Professor positions that begin August 21, 2017 and ends May 14, 2018. (Summer teaching is not included although there are possibilities for teaching in the summer.) Responsibilities of the position include teaching a variety of courses in our master’s programs (School Counseling, Student Affairs Counseling, Clinical Mental Health Counseling), academic advising, and assisting in Department service activities. A doctorate (or ABD) in counselor education from a CACREP-accredited university, experience as a practicum/internship supervisor, and eligibility for New York State licensure are required. We are especially interested in candidates who have the ability to teach in several of the following content areas: human growth and development, career development, counseling theory and practice, psycho-diagnosis and psychopharmacology, substance abuse, group work, and counseling research. Salary will be commensurate with professional experience. Applicants must provide evidence of qualifications in teaching and supervision.
