Jennings Local School District is accepting applications for the position of
Guidance/School Counselor.

Ideal candidate must hold proper certification/licensure.  Experience in
the following areas is highly recommended:

. Creating a Master Schedule and scheduling students
. Administration of state mandated testing
. Establishing the school counseling program, including developing activities and resources to implement the program.
. Assisting students in the areas of personal/social growth and educational
planning.
. Consulting with students, parents, teachers, and other school personnel to
assist in meeting the needs of students and working with outside social service agencies.
. Coordinating necessary duties regarding college admissions requirements,
including communication with college admissions and financial aid
departments, hosting parent and student informational meetings, assisting students of varying needs with financial aid opportunities, and assessment of student progress to meet college requirements.
. Transitioning students to the career center
. Possessing the ability to work with a diverse student body.
