2017 GRADUATE STUDENT ESSAY COMPETITIONS:
WIN $500 & MORE!

ACA graduate student members are invited to enter the annual essay competitions, sponsored by the American Counseling Association Foundation (ACAF).

Two grand prize essayists will be awarded $500, a complimentary ACA 2017 Conference & Expo registration, and publication in Counseling Today. Prizes for Runners-up and Honorable Mention also awarded.

This year, the competitions will address the following theme: Educating New Federal Leaders about Counseling. On January 20, 2017, a new cadre of federal officials will be assuming leadership roles throughout the executive branch of government. ACA student members are invited to craft advocacy messages that bring more awareness to these new federal officials about the counseling needs of people across the lifespan and how professional counselors respond to those needs.

The deadline for essay submissions is January 4, 2017. Awards will be officially presented at the ACA 2017 Conference & Expo (San Francisco: March 16–19).
