This legislation only impacts state institutions, but Rep. Anielski has shown interest in attempting a similar bill to cover all institutions of higher ed.

Suicide Prevention Measure Clears Ohio House by Unanimous Vote
A bill that would require Ohio's public colleges and universities to make suicide prevention and other mental health resources available to students is well on its way to becoming law. House Bill 28<https://www.legislature.ohio.gov/legislation/legislation-documents?id=GA131-HB-28>, sponsored by Rep. Marlene Anielski (R-Walton Hills), passed the Ohio House of Representatives yesterday with a 92-0 vote. The bill would require Ohio's higher-education institutions to establish suicide prevention and education programs that include: intervention access, mental health programs access, multimedia application access, a student communication plan and a postvention plan. Suicide is the second-leading cause of death among college students, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
