The AMHCA Foundation aims to improve the mental health of all Americans through public education about mental health issues, mental health research, access to mental health services and promoting high standards for mental health practitioners.

To meet our mission, the AMHCA Foundation awards yearly grants to individuals, education and scientific organizations that aim to promote the development of graduate students in clinical mental health counseling. This year we are offering two grant awards for AMHCA members. Eligibility and application information follow in the links below:

The Dissertation Research Award, now in its third year, assists a doctoral student in an accredited counseling program with research costs. A grant of $1,000 will be awarded to a student whose dissertation research reflects excellence in and furthers our knowledge of clinical mental health counseling. The funds may be used for direct research expenses, software, or conference travel.
