2014 All Ohio Counselors Conference Call for Proposals is now open!

 DEADLINE FOR SUBMISSION: Saturday, May 31, 2014 @ Midnight
 
 The AOCC is seeking proposals for sessions focused on school and clinical/mental health counseling topics.  Presenters are encouraged to submit sessions outlining engaging practices that can be easily implemented into one's professional practice. Proposed sessions must be 60 minutes in length and presenters may submit more than one call for proposal. Proposals addressing advanced content are preferred, though all levels are welcome. Lead presenters are encouraged to be a member of OCA and/or OSCA, but membership is not a requirement. The AOCC team is specifically seeking sessions in several areas of interest including:

DSM-V
Ethics and Supervision for Clinical/Mental Health Counselors
Intermediate/Advanced Level Counseling Skills/Interventions
Alternative Treatments (i.e. art therapy, spirituality, holistic wellness, etc.)
Trauma Informed Care
Developing a Positive School Climate/Bullying Prevention
College and Career Readiness/Counseling
Special Education (IEP/504/IAT) for School Counselors
Next Generation Assessments and Common Core
School Counselor Evaluation Strategies
 
How to Submit a Call for Proposal
 To submit a Call for Proposal, visit the AOCC website, log into your AOCC membership account and click on the CFP link within the event box. Not a member of the AOCC yet? Click on the AOCC Membership tab to join for free! You must be logged into your AOCC account in order to submit a CFP. Upon submission, presenters must submit a CV/resume to allohiocc at gmail.com.
 
Selected presenters will be required to: 
 
Agree to the AOCC speakers agreement once selected.
Submit two page CV/resume to allohiocc at gmail.com after submitting proposal on this site, but no later than May 31, 2014
Submit presentation handouts in PDF format no later than Friday, October 24, 2014 for addition to the AOCC website and mobile app. Please note that presenters may opt to provide handouts at their own expense.
