This position, along with all positions in the College of Education, is directly responsible for advancing the mission of the College and the Counseling Program.
This position focuses primarily on the training, supervision and mentoring of doctoral students in counselor education as they develop into competent researchers, teachers, advanced practitioners, supervisors, advocates and leaders in the counseling profession. This position also includes responsibilities in the MS in Counseling program and in serving the College of Education, Oregon State University, and the counseling profession.
We seek individuals for this position who are conducting quality research in counseling or counselor education, have experience with research funding, are experienced school or mental health counselors, and are effective teachers, mentors and supervisors. Experience with and enthusiasm for using distance technology for teaching and supervision and a distinguished record of postdoctoral research are desirable as is expertise applicable to cultural/linguistic diversity research or STEM anxiety/motivation/self-efficacy research.
