Greetings fellow CESNET-ers!  I want to clarify a few questions I have received about my below job posting.  We are not an APA counseling psychology program and have no interest in moving in that direction. We are a non-CACREP accredited clinical mental health counseling program (1) in the process of submitting a long overdue program name change request (to more accurately reflect our program objectives and orientation) to our regional accrediting body and (2) actively engaged in writing our self-study with the ultimate goal of gaining CACREP accreditation.

Faculty, Counseling Psychology

Job Summary

The successful candidate will be a Full Faculty member in the Limited Residency Counseling Psychology Program who will: 1. Teach and advise students, support student learning, oversee student programs of study with adjunct mentors, assess student learning; 2. Serve the College and community (e.g., through committee work, programmatic development, academic decision-making, and other curricular activities for the degree program as a whole); and 3. Engage in scholarship and professional development that develop our programs and learning environments for students (e.g., community-based research, action-research, scholarship of teaching and learning).

 Responsibilities

*        Assist Program Chair with current goals in attaining CACREP accreditation for Counseling Psychology Master's Program

*        Present workshops at each colloquium to enhance student self-directed learning

*        Participate in faculty meetings, retreats, and graduation ceremonies as appropriate.

*        Develop, grow, and support new and/or existing curricular areas, including assisting in the recruitment, advising and application evaluation for new students.

*        Assist with recruitment and admissions processes of new students in general degree areas, specific curricular areas, and geographic region as appropriate.

*        Support all residency requirements (e.g., colloquia and orientations).

*        Conduct scholarship, professional development and community service / outreach.

*        On-site campus based Faculty position.

 Qualifications

*        5+ years experience in clinical practice.

*        Licensed or licensed eligible in the State of Arizona.

*        Experience teaching counseling coursework at the graduate level.

*        Earned doctoral degree in counselor education and supervision (preferably from a CACREP-accredited program), or and earned doctoral degree in a related field and have been employed as full-time faculty member in a counselor education program for a minimum of one full academic year.
