Tenure Track Faculty, Counseling and Art Therapy
Ursuline College, a small liberal arts college in Pepper Pike, Ohio is seeking a full-time, tenure-track faculty member to assume teaching and advising responsibilities in its graduate Art Therapy and Counseling Program beginning August 15, 2012. The Art Therapy and Counseling program is committed to providing education and training in both art therapy and professional counseling.
Qualifications:
* Doctorate in Counselor Education, preferably from a CACREP accredited program, ABD considered
* Preferred master's degree in art therapy with an ATR-BC, and/or have an affinity for creative and expressive approaches
* Licensed PCC or license eligible in Ohio, preferably with supervisory status
* Active participation in state, national, and local professional organizations
* Evidence of continuing scholarly work
* Competence in teaching
Candidates must have excellent communication skills, flexibility, mature judgment, and a commitment to teaching in a collaborative and values-based environment with a focus on promoting individual student success.
Responsibilities include:
* Teaching graduate level counseling courses
* Advising students and participating in perspective student interviews
* Participating in college committee work
* Assisting with departmental responsibilities such as accreditation processes, curriculum and program development, practicum and internship, and fulfilling other duties as assigned
