Student Scholarships Available for the 6th Annual Legislative Advocacy Day

The members of the Ohio Association for Counselor Education and Supervision (OACES) are pleased to sponsor graduate students to attend the 6th Annual Legislative Advocacy Day (LAD), which will be held on May 14, 2012 from 9:30 am - 1:30 pm at the Statehouse Atrium, Columbus. Please see the email below for details about LAD and registration.

OACES will reimburse the $25 registration fee for 40 graduate students (master's and doctoral students). Interested students should email their name and which counselor education program / university they are affiliated with to Deborah Issacs (disaacs1 at kent.edu<mailto:disaacs1 at kent.edu>) by April 15th, 2012. Please type in the subject line of the email "LAD Scholarship Application." Students will be notified by April 22nd of their status.

Scholarships will be awarded to those who apply first, though there also will be consideration given to spreading scholarships across universities. Applicants selected to receive a $25 scholarship should register and pay for the LAD (see email below). After students attend LAD, they will receive their $25 reimbursement once they provide evidence of registration. Selected students will receive further instructions on how to receive their reimbursement.
