Villanova University's Department of Education and Counseling invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position effective fall 2012. The Department seeks an instructor-scholar for a full-time, nine-month, counselor education position. Located in the suburbs of Philadelphia, Villanova's counseling program offers master-level community and school tracks and a developing undergraduate counseling minor.

Roles and Responsibilities: The successful candidate will be qualified to teach counseling courses at the undergraduate and graduate level. In addition, the new faculty member will conduct and publish research in an area of expertise.

Qualifications: Successful candidates must have a PhD in counselor education, or be near the completion of their doctoral degree. Candidates must be qualified to teach core graduate counseling courses, and those with a specialty in the area of school counseling, familiarity with CACREP standards, or with significant direct counseling experience and LPC eligibility, are preferred. In addition, candidates should demonstrate a record of, and potential for, scholarship.
