Workshop Description:
Participants will explore the biological origins of stress and anxiety, and pinpoint its physiological and psychological effects on the body. We will discuss the debate between the psychogenic and biological origins of anxiety, interpersonal neurobiology, and the psychopharmacology of some commonly prescribed medications. Emerging research and cutting-edge advances in the origin, diagnosis, and treatment of various anxiety disorders will be presented. Participants will have hands-on demonstrations of several biofeedback techniques.
