The GRADUATE PROGRAM IN COUNSELING at Messiah College invites applications for a full-time, term-tenure track positions in Counseling, with a sub-discipline Clinical Mental Health Counseling or Marriage, Couple and Family Counseling. If hired, you will be joining a growing program whose faculty enjoy each other’s company, are striving to be excellent teachers, and who love working with students.
Responsibilities: Teach graduate courses in the Clinical Mental Health Counseling and/or Marriage, Couple and Family Counseling tracks and other core courses in the primarily online Counseling program. Teaching load will be determined based upon departmental need and the candidate's interests. Faculty members also are expected to supervise practica and internships; maintain an active scholarly agenda; advise graduate students; and engage in institutional service.
Qualifications: Ph.D. preferred, but ABD considered, in Counselor Education, preferably from a CACREP program as well as license as a professional counselor or marriage and family therapist. A profession of Christian faith and a commitment to the mission of Messiah College is required. Preference will be given to candidates who demonstrate excellence in teaching and scholarship, have experience in the appropriate field, and have previously taught in an online format.

The Counseling Program at Messiah College is designed to help prepare students to become competent counselors who are capable of working in multiple settings. As such, they will be prepared to serve others in the counseling process, develop their leadership abilities in the counseling field, and seek to reconcile relationships within the counseling setting. Starting Date for Position: Fall 2012
Compensation: Salary and rank commensurate with qualifications and experience.
