Assistant/Associate Professor of Counselor Education

Become part of a growing program in Augusta, the second largest city in Georgia, nestled quietly on the South Carolina border. The full-time tenure-track appointment includes teaching Master's level courses in CACREP-approved Community Counseling and School Counseling programs. Advising and supervising practicum and internship student placements, engaging in scholarly activity and research, and providing service to the profession are expected.

QUALIFICATIONS: Minimum qualifications include earned or nearly completed doctorate in Counselor Education, preferably from a CACREP-accredited program, or doctoral degree in a closely related field. Applicants must have work experience in school and/or community settings and be eligible for certification as a school counselor and/or LPC in the state of Georgia. Preference will be given to applicants with experience in school counseling and clinical supervision, evidence of effective teaching, research productivity, and LPC/NCC status. Salary is commensurate with training, education, and experience.

DEPARTMENT: The Department of Educational Leadership, Counseling, and Special Education is one of three departments in the College of Education, whose programs are accredited by NCATE, the Georgia Professional Standards Commission, and the Southern Association of Colleges and Universities. The Counselor Education program offers a M.Ed. degree with a concentration in school counseling and community counseling.
