I am please to announce that Seattle University has a position posting for a Tenure-track Assistant/Associate Professor Faculty in School Counseling to begin in Fall 2012. Seattle University is a CACREP-accredited program committed to preparing emerging counselors for social justice. See the position posting below for more information.


The College of Education's School Counseling Program seeks Assistant or Associate Tenure-Track faculty in a CACREP accredited program beginning September 2012.  The counseling program focuses on preparing counselors to be leaders for a just and humane world. Primary responsibilities includeteaching general and school counseling courses, an active scholarship agenda that aligns with the university mission of justice, and commitment to service at the institutional, local, state, and national levels.

Minimum Qualifications: Earned doctorate in Counselor Education, minimum of 2 years of successful P-12 experience; potential for leadership responsibilities; commitment to social justice. Preferred: Graduate of a CACREP program and familiarity with CACREP accreditation; commitment to Transforming School Counseling and urban schools, knowledge of Education Trust initiatives; successful University level teaching experience; and interest in the university areas of community engagement, justice, leadership, formation and globalization.
