Position Classification Title Assistant Professor of Counseling

Job/Position Title Assistant Professor of Counseling
Department: 3545-Counseling


Primary Purpose: To teach school counseling and assessment.

Key Responsibilities: Teach school counseling courses; teach assessment courses, scholarly activities including research, applying for outside funding, national, regional and state presentations and service to the University and professional organizations.

Minimum Qualifications: Doctorate in Counselor Education, experience in School Counseling, interest in Assessment, ability to begin a research agenda including external funding, providing service to the institution and professional organizations, eligible for Idaho Licensing.

Preferred Qualifications: Doctorate from a CACREP accredited Counselor Education program, experience teaching School Counseling and Assessment course work, demonstrated research skills with external funding, demonstrated involvement in professional organizations including leadership roles and presentations, eligible for Idaho Licensing. Interest in developing course work in addictions.
