Subject: Expanded faculty searching at Calif. State Univ., Northridge: Generalist CoEd position added

Colleagues:

Here at California State University, Northridge, we are continuing to search for our Career / College Counselor educator tenure-line faculty position. As well, we were just authorized an additional line for a generalist Counselor Educator position using the same search number, but with a now broader perspective of reviewing applications.

Here is a link to our position: http://csucareers.calstate.edu/careers/details.asp?pid=26606

We have four CACREP-approved programs in the dept.: Career, College, School, and Marriage & Family Therapy. Recent licensure in CA for LPCCs make it more tenable for a CoEd to come to this state and work as a joint academic-practitioner.

We will be reviewing initial applications at least thru mid-December. Please consider applying if you wish to work with a collaborative counseling and educational psychology master's student-focused department in a large, public, comprehensive university on the north end of Los Angeles county. This is a very open search; there are no inside candidates who are likely applicants.

I am happy to address queries if anyone wishes to BACK-channel write to me (for your sake, not mine!)

Thank you,

         Merril

(Note: The position posting is also below my footer)

PS: If you applied already, you will be considered for both positions automatically. If you would like to add any additional information given the greater breadth of the second line, feel free to e-mail that to me.
