[Classclimate-users] Grad section didn't receive-- how to "add course"

When I wasn't able to reach Jan :), I called the help desk ... then had to hang up during the transfer of the call...  and got an email!
Which resulted in this info:


Open the subunit to view the list of instructors and click on the number in the CO column next to the instructor of the class you want to add.  You should see "Courses of <instructor's name>" at the top of this screen and the list of courses.  At the very bottom of the list, there is a button, "Create new course."  Click this button.  Now enter the relevant information into at least the required fields (red asterisk), but I recommend also including the Evaluation Period (Fall 14-15 in this case) and the Course Type.  Next click the "Administrate Participants" button out to the right.  On this page, you can try importing a CSV file of just the students' email addresses, or you can add them individually by clicking the "Add" button and pasting a student email into the "Email" field, then clicking the "Search" button.  The address will show up in the "Email" field of the "Details of the participants" section (for some reason it won't let you simply add the email to the second field--you have to search it), then you can click "Save" (no need to add any other details) and repeat the process for each student email.

Daphne,

You can go into scheduled tasks and choose your subunit, then look through your courses and see if there are any errors or any surveys that closed early by accident. If there are errors, you may be able to fix them and let the system send an extra reminder out.

As a general practice, I always check scheduled tasks after generating each survey to see if there are any errors.



If that doesn't solve it, you may need to check with OIT.

I have a student who says she receives an error message each time she attempts to click on the link for any of her class evaluations, not just English courses.  Anybody else have this problem?

I looked in Classclimate and discovered that surveys for this class were not generated and were not deployed.  This class is combined with an undergrad section, and the grad section has only 2 grad students in it.  Is that why it wasn't included in the fall semester course evaluations?  Can I do anything about it now?
