Well, OUR groundhog has overslept. Because of the weather, the annual
Groundhog Hike sponsored by the Athens Conservancy, Friends of Strouds Run
State Park, and Athens Trails was rescheduled, and, yes, it IS happening
this coming Sunday, February 21. The Athens Trails work day for that day
is cancelled; we'll work again in March when the weather's a little
better. Again, the Groundhog Hike starts from Shelterhouse #3 at Strouds
Run State Park (the one beyond the swimming beach), and starting times are
anywhere from 11 am to 1 pm. Refreshments, including hot beverages and
soup, will be available. Come and have a good time!
