 hello,

Looks like we don't have many nominations so I will nominate *Kenneth Ugwu
Nnamani, former Senate President in Nigeria and Alumi of Ohio University.*
**

*Kenneth Ugwu Nnamani* is a former
Nigerian<http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nigeria>senator who represented
the People's
Democratic Party<http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/People%27s_Democratic_Party_%28Nigeria%29>(PDP)
in Enugu
State <http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Enugu_State>. He became a senator in
2003, and was president of the Senate of
Nigeria<http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Senate_of_Nigeria>from 2005 to
2007.
** ****

Ken Nnamani was born on November 2, 1948 in
Enugu<http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Enugu>.
He holds both BBA<http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bachelor_of_Business_Administration>and
MBA <http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Master_of_Business_Administration>degrees
from the Ohio
University <http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ohio_University> in Athens,
Ohio<http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Athens,_Ohio>and has worked for Du
Pont De Nemours International <http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/DuPont> and
Geneva and Nova Chemicals
International<http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nova_Chemicals>as marketing
executive and later as a consultant. He was the principal
consultant, Maredec Limited. ****

Ken Nnamani was elected to the senate for Enugu East in 2003.He was
appointed Chairman of the Committee on Federal Character & Governmental
Affairs and member of committees on Privatization, Federal Capital
Territory and Appropriation & Finance. He became president of the Senate of
Nigeria <http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Senate_of_Nigeria> from April 5, 2005
to 2007, taking this post after Adolphus
Wabara<http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Adolphus_Wabara>resigned due to
allegations of corruption.
****

Knowing the tendency for leaders in Africa to manipulate the national
constitutions to perpetuate themselves in power. Ken Nnamani as Senate
President rebuffed pressure and corrupt inducements as a Senate President
from the ruling party to put an end to former President Obasanjo’s plan to
extend his tenure for a third term in office.****

I nominate Ken Nnamani for transformative leadership and as a distinguished
and exemplary Ohio University Alumni (bagged his undergraduate and graduate
degrees at Ohio University). He is not only a great African, he is a proud
bobcat whose light continues to shine.****
