[ASU] Sad news

This is very sad news indeed. For the last five years I have known Collins, I don’t remember a time that I saw him with a smile on his face. Africa has lost a faithful son and an inspiring scholar, what a great loss!!! Collins and I were part of a writing group, and I got to know his passion for the poor and the voiceless, a passion that was reflected in his dissertation. When I attended his pre-defense presentation, he shared with us his intents to setup a scholarship fund for vulnerable schoolgirls to help them complete their education. I met him last week with his daughter, and I couldn’t believe now that was the last time I was going to see him. My prayer goes to his family, friends and all those who were touched by his short stay with us here on earth, and I know there are many. May your soul rest in peace dear friend, you will be greatly missed.
