Forum in Response to Ayaan Hirsi Ali

The Center for International Studies will host a forum, organized by African Studies, in response to Ayaan Hirsi Ali’s talk at the Baker Peace Conference. The forum will take place on Friday the 16th, in Walter 145 from 3pm – 4:30pm and will include a panel of professors and students to address many of the unanswered questions and topics Ayann Hirsi Ali raised.


  *   Prof. Loren Lybarger will address the “house of war” and “the house of liberty”
  *   Shariff Osmen will address culture and Somalis in the diaspora
  *   Catherine Cutcher will discuss issues relating to women’s rights
  *   Dr. Howard will discuss progressive Islam
  *   Roshan Norzai, from Afghanistan
  *   Oumar Ba from Senegal

Following their brief presentations there will be time for questions from those who attend.
