The New Leaders Program has a particular emphasis on opportunities for
people of color, low-income and GLBTQ folks, and women.  For more info,
see our website.

How it works...

For Applicants:  If you have a full-time job with a progressive
organization, after the application deadline, you will be notified about
whether or not you've been chosen for the program.  If you do not have a
job, you will first be accepted into a group of applicants that we will try
to help find job opportunities.  Then, if you are able to find a job, you
will be officially in the program.  Training and networking will begin
June 27-28, with coaching and mentoring soon to follow.  The program will
last until November 2009.

For Employers (unions, non-profits, political offices, etc.):  If you have
recently hired someone who you think may benefit from this opportunity,
including getting connected to a broader progressive movement in Ohio,
please ask them to consider applying.  We'll ask to check in with you once
a month during the program, but all program components take place outside
of work hours, so your investment is minimal.  We will offer training on
understanding the political landscape, messaging and communication,
values-based leadership, and more.

current 2009 informational 2 pager here.

Don't hesitate to call us if you have any questions!
