[ASU] The end of the beginning:Thank You!

Thank You
I feel a profound sense of gratitude towards the African Students Union for
according me the opportunity to be the next President. Indeed it has been such
an exciting electoral campaign which undoubtedly increased enthusiasm amongst
members. I thank those who braved the winter rain for the debate and the cold
winter night of the Election Day. I want to thank the Electoral committee and
the Executive for their sterling work. It is easy to forget that all the hard
work they have been doing is voluntary. I think it’s remarkable.
I must congratulate the incoming executives as well. I have confidence in them
and l am happy l to have known them as friends for a while now.
Lastly my opponent, Prosper who graciously conceded publicly. He ran quite a
competitive campaign and l expect those who will run for Presidency next year to
expect an even more exciting time.

This is not the end, neither is it the beginning of the end, rather it’s the end
of the beginning. I am confident in the future significance and effectiveness of
our illustrious union.
