[ASU] Nigeria 101

Brothers and Sisters,

 

The Association of Nigerians would like to invite you to Nigeria 101: An
Introduction to Nigerian Culture. This cultural event will display various
aspects of Nigerian life through cultural and modern dance (you know how we
do), drama sketches, fashion. The drama sketch will include a traditional
wrestling match between 2 able-bodied Nigerian men and some other aspects of
Nigerian life including growing up and marriage. The fashion show will not
only include various dresses, but an illustration of how the head-tie is
used as a fashion statement. As for the cultural dance, which is relatively
new, there will be a drum fest and solo dances. Dinner will be served during
the program. The night will be fun-filled and an opportunity to learn and be
entertained. A lot of preparation has gone into this event and you will not
be disappointed for attending. 

This event will be taking place at Jefferson Dining Hall on Saturday April
18th 2009 and will begin at 7:00pm prompt. The admission fee is $5 and
tickets are available at International Student and Faculty Services and also
from executives of the Association of Nigerians.
