[Aphio-L] save the animals from the oil slick!

Hi you wonderful APhiO students,

My daughter Mer's girl scout troop is doing an emergency service project 
to help all the animals endangered by the oil slicks.  They are busy 
collecting from anywhere they can the following items:

- clean used tights, pantyhose, and knee highs (these, together with donated hair they are collecting from salons and pet groomers, are being sewn by them into oil catching devices that are apparently quite amazing at soaking up oil off of animals and out of the water) 

- old towels, blankets, sheets (for scrubbing the animals they rescue) 

- Dawn dish detergent


If any of you are interested in donating any of these items, we will be 
at chapter at 8 on this coming Sunday evening to collect.
