[UC1000] Safe Journey

Dear Colleagues,

I owe you an explanation for the gaffe I made yesterday in announcing my class cancellation. That was intended for my class only and not for the entire listserv.

What I did not tell my class, but will tell you now, is that I cancelled so that I could be with my father as he prepares to undergo mitral valve replacement surgery.

I understand and support the insistence on not canceling class prior to the Thanksgiving holiday and, if the situation were different, would have gladly complied. My apologies for appearing to flaunt the rule.

I hope all of your Thanksgiving celebrations are bountiful.
