Subject: [Theaterfacultystaff] Book Announcement
Last week, Bloomsbury/Methuen Drama released Postdramatic Theatre and Form<https://nam03.safelinks.protection.outlook.com/?url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.bloomsbury.com%2Fuk%2Fpostdramatic-theatre-and-form-9781350043183%2F&data=02%7C01%7C%7Cb5f63476e7b54cba01e708d6b6058742%7Cf3308007477c4a70888934611817c55a%7C0%7C0%7C636896532183644492&sdata=1nRzEeAGxrXEdDPU7f7CeZlmH0vGuSGg3s%2F7RkZZwys%3D&reserved=0>, which I co-edited with two colleagues. The book includes essays from scholars from around the U.S. and Europe, including Nicholas Ridout on the video art of Lizzie Fitch and Ryan Trecartin (who live in Athens County!). I co-wrote the Introduction with my two colleagues, in which we make an argument for a return to formalism, hopefully an argument that will spark some controversy. And I contributed my own essay on theater in Berlin made by refugees and immigrants to Germany. It was a fun but difficult process (August was born as we were still writing the Introduction!), and I'm so happy to share the result.
I have attached the title page and table of contents; if you are interested in reading a particular essay, just let me know and I can share a PDF. I'll also be asking our library to acquire a copy.
