Thanks to the participants of the Carrie Mae Weems masterclass for sharing your experience with us today. The 8pm performance is sold out, but you can get on the wait list:
The award-winning documentary Heroin(e) will screen on Tuesday, January 29th at noon at Memorial Auditorium. The women featured in the film on the frontline of the opioid crisis in Huntington, WV, will be here and speak on a panel afterwards.
National Theater Live at the Athena Grand is showing Anthony and Cleopatra on Tuesday, January 29th at 6:30. $15.
The Contemporary History Institute presents a reading of Sophocles' Ajax at the Athena Cinema on Saturday, February 2nd at 1pm. The reading, featuring Theater Division faculty and students, runs about an hour; Dr. Cornish will lead a conversation afterward with veterans and their families as part of Coming Home From War: Conversations for Veterans. FREE.
