Dear Colleagues,

If you have advisees still in need of a seminar, Prof. Loreen Giese (copied here) is teaching what looks to be a terrific seminar on Tudor-Stuart drama. This course could be substituted as a theater seminar.

Seniors can go ahead and register for it, but since it is writing intensive, juniors should contact Prof. Giese before registering.

Anyone interested should enroll ASAP, since the English department may cancel it if not enough students enroll.

English 4600 #6603 MW 3:05 to 4:25 p.m.
HORRIBLE DEATHS! Death as spectacle is a key component in early modern English drama. This course feasts on five spectacular (puns intended) early modern English dramas: Christopher Marlowe’s Edward II, Shakespeare’s Titus Andronicus and Richard III; Cyril Tourner’s The Revenger’s Tragedy, and John Ford’s ‘Tis Pity She’s a Whore.

With best regards,

William F. Condee
