Subject: Innovation Strategy: Information and Networking Sessions and Collaborative Projects Workshop
Dear Administrators, Deans, Chair/Directors, Associate Deans for Research, and Department Admin,
Please disseminate widely.
Faculty and staff, and potentially students, interested in learning how to form interdisciplinary teams and access funding from the Ohio University Innovation Strategy program are invited to attend three upcoming events.
Information and networking sessions to help interested individuals develop their ideas and projects will be held:
Monday, Sept. 19 and Monday, Sept. 26 (repeat session), from 3:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. in the Multipurpose Room in the Multicultural Center, second floor of Baker University Center. No RSVP is required.
"Collaborative Projects Workshop" to discuss considerations and tools for working on large interdisciplinary teams.
Monday, Oct. 3, 9 a.m. to 11 a.m., in the Multipurpose Room in the Multicultural Center, second floor of Baker University Center.
The workshop is limited to 50 attendees; individuals must RSVP to research at ohio.edu<mailto:research at ohio.edu>.
The Innovation Strategy program incentivizes collaborations across college/planning unit boundaries that leverage interdisciplinary approaches. Four broad portfolios of topical areas are identified for potential investment, with support that can encompass the full spectrum of the university's activities-including teaching and learning, research and scholarship, creative activity, and the operational functions of the university.
Letters of intent for Innovation Strategy Cycle 2 funding are due on Thursday, October 13, 2016.
More information about the Innovation Strategy, including the Request for Proposals, a FAQ page and information about Cycle 1 funding recipients, may be viewed at the Research Division website: https://www.ohio.edu/research/innovationstrategy.cfm.
Questions regarding the program should be sent to research at ohio.edu<mailto:research at ohio.edu>.
