Moonlight is showing at the Athena Cinema. The LGBT Center is offering 300 free student tickets over the course of the week’s run. Showings begin tonight Nov. 18th and continue throughout next week.

Senior Dance Concert tonight and Saturday night, 7pm and 9pm shows. Free in Putnam.

We will be collecting items for My Sisters Place a shelter for abused women and children. Boxes will be located in Kantner Hall. There will be signs up stating what is needed. Items can include but are not limited to socks for kids, slippers for mothers, pillows, hairbrushes, dryer sheets etc. We’ll also collect non-perishable foods for a local food bank.

SUNDAY Nov 20th from 1-3pm in Kantner 308 there will be a Theater for Youth Masterclass headed by Brian Epperson. The class will include 16 kids from ages 8-13. From 1-2pm you can observe Brian teaching them. From 2-3pm the kids will be dismissed and there will be an open discussion. This is a great intro to teaching theater to kids especially if you are interested in working the education department with Tantrum.

Tantrums season had been announced:
*The press release won't be out until Monday! So no social media as of just yet about Tantrum please!*

A Midsummer's Night Dream directed by Dan Dennis will open the season. There will be a cast of 14 and they are looking to cast half equity and half OU students! Rehearsals will begin May 9th with a run from May 30th-June 17th

Caroline or Change directed by Robert Barry Fleming will be next. There is a potential for 2 OU acting students on this project. Rehearsals begin June 6th and will run July 5th-July 22nd.

Into the West will close out the season. Running from Aug 1st-Aug 19th, it will be directed by Jen Wineman.

There will be also a reading series entitled Rising Voices. The series will feature 3 plays that will be read the Tuesdays after opening. There will be minimal rehearsal and funds will be raised by donation. They are looking for contemporary plays that may be considered for future seasons and would love to work with OU playwriting alums.

Tantrum is considering pulling understudies from the Front of House staff. If you have interest in multiple areas (Assistant directing, scene shop, FOH, education, costume shop etc.) email Rachel Cornish at cornishr at ohio.edu<mailto:cornishr at ohio.edu> and Ian Hinz at hinz at ohio.edu<mailto:hinz at ohio.edu>

Thanks!
