Dear Performing Arts Colleague,

I hope the semester is going well for you and your students! I’m sending you a quick email to let you know that all of our credit-bearing academic programs are $1,500 off<http://performingartsabroad.us2.list-manage1.com/track/click?u=56b4438e99d52b823495d8d82&id=94a629d8de&e=2d95b9ca4b> for your students if they apply by March 31st and enter the code STUDYABROAD16 in the discount field of the online application.

This applies to all of our programs that come with an academic transcript<http://performingartsabroad.us2.list-manage2.com/track/click?u=56b4438e99d52b823495d8d82&id=b165b14dcd&e=2d95b9ca4b>, including semester, summer, and January-term programs.

The University of Limerick, home of the Irish World Academy of Music and Dance is, to put it plainly, where you will find the best Irish Music and Dance instructors in the world. Located in Limerick, the 2014 Irish National City of Culture, there's no better place in the world to immerse yourself in the traditions, culture, and cutting edge of Irish Music and Dance. The Music and Dance semesters will give you, through dedicated professors and small classes of traditional and modern courses, "an unparalleled knowledge of Irish music and dance by studying it in the place it was created."

You can probably already think of a million reasons to study the performing arts in London, so add to your list the fact that Performing Arts Abroad is partnered with the highest ranked university dance program in the UK. Their theatre department is fantastic as well. Students can study a wide range of dance styles including intensive studio classes, or immerse themselves in dramatic theory, performance studies, and theatre history in the city where modern theatre began (and it's not just resting on its laurels!)

The University of Otago is New Zealand's oldest university, and located in the beautiful city of Dunedin, the cultural and artistic capital of the South Island. This is the only destination where we offer study abroad programs in all four disciplines: Music, Dance, Theater, and Film! Students choose from a wide variety of course offerings in each discipline, and also have the opportunity to pursue an internship for credit with a local arts organizations. Plus, you get to live on the coast in the area where Lord of the Rings was filmed...not bad at all!

Receiving private and small group instruction from world-class instructors at an arts university is great, but receiving it in one of Italy’s most historic Renaissance cities and the birthplace of opera puts this program over the top! Living within easy travel distance to nearby Venice, Milan, and Rome doesn't hurt either. In Florence, you also have the option of doing an arts internship as one of your 3-credit courses. This would involve working 10-15 hours per week at an arts organization in Florence. Examples include dance studios, opera houses, symphony halls, recording studios, and theaters.

As a reminder, the deadline to apply for these programs and receive the $1,500 scholarship is Thursday, March 31st at 11:59 p.m. U.S. Eastern Time, so please share this information with your students right away!

Please let me know if you or your students have any questions, and enjoy the rest of the semester!

All the best,

Reynolds Whalen
