Welcome to the College of Fine Arts monthly newsletter.  You will find information regarding registration deadlines as well as events and opportunities available to you. Registration Information
Last day to add a fall quarter class without instructor's approval

Last day to register for fall quarter

Note: Students who are in attendance by this date but fail to complete any registration procedures must pay a penalty for retroactive registration correction according to the following schedule:

September 21 - 27$ 40
September 28 - October 4$ 60
October 5 - 11$ 80
October 12 - 18$100

Last day to add a fall quarter class (instructor's permission required)

Last day to remove a fall quarter class from student's academic record with possible fee adjustment; fall quarter classes dropped September 21 - October 10 will remain on student's academic record with WP/WF grade with no fee adjustment

Last day to receive partial fee adjustment (80%) of registration fees for complete withdrawal from the University for fall quarter (all fall quarter courses removed from the student's academic record)

Last day to apply for pass/fail grading option for fall quarter class (apply at your college student services office or regional campus student services office)

Last day to change a grading option for fall quarter class (credit to audit, audit to credit, pass/fail to regular grade option, or regular grade option to pass/fail)

Last day to change college/major for fall quarter (contact your college student services office or regional campus student services office)

Fall quarter classes dropped will not remove fees for hours dropped; corrected registration that results in increased hours could increase tuition

Fall quarter classes dropped from this date through October 10 (last day to drop a class) will remain on student's academic record with WP/WF grade with no fee adjustment


Last day to apply for graduation for fall quarter

Note: Official graduation (degree conferral date) is November 23. Commencement is held at the conclusion of spring quarter.

Education Abroad Opportunities

Exploring the Arts in London Winter Intercession Program (Nov. 30 – Dec. 11, 2011)
Join us on our final pre-Christmas program in London.  Spend nearly 2 weeks in this special city during the Christmas holiday season while earning 4 credit hours for a Tier 2, Tier 3, or 300 level 19th Century art history course.
You will visit some of world's most famous museums, explore a newly remodeled Victorian train station, discover a hidden rooftop garden, and attend an auction house preview at Christie’s or Sotheby’s with renowned art dealer and Antiques Roadshow personality, Rupert Maas.  You will also attend the first exhibition ever devoted to the painting aims and techniques of Leonardo da Vinci.
Many other special activities are planned, including 3 world class plays (such as War Horse or Billy Elliott), a private guided bus tour of London, a ride on the London Eye ferris wheel, a proper British afternoon Tea at Fortnum & Mason’s, and dinner at the trendy Brown’s Restaurant in Covent Garden.

African Culture through the Arts - Study Abroad in Ghana-Ho, Volta Region, Ghana,  June 12 – July 5, 2012
Music! Dance! Visual Arts! Theater!

• Master Classes with the National Dance Company of Ghana
• Village Study Tours of the Central, Greater Accra and Volta Regions
• Visits to Kakum Rainforest, Universities of Ghana, Cape Coast, Winneba, Kente Village, and Ghana Broadcasting Corporations
