.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight.

Tropical moisture today will provide a risk of flash flooding.
There is a slight risk for excessive rainfall and there is a
marginal risk of severe thunderstorms this afternoon and evening
with damaging winds and large hail.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Saturday through Thursday.

Tropical moisture on Saturday will provide a risk of flash flooding.
There is also a slight risk for excessive rainfall on Saturday.

Tropical moisture brings rain and possible severe storms today:

The tropical moisture already in place will become reinforced as the
remnants of Laura move over the area today.  This combined with the
potential for severe thunderstorms could pose localized flooding
issues within heavy downpours due to thunderstorm activity. 

Persistent
heavy showers and strong gusty wind will be the main threat. The 

warm,
muggy and wet weather will persist through Saturday with one to tw o
inches of total rainfall with localized higher amounts are expected.
Behind Laura, a cold front will push through late Saturday with
additional showers and a few thunderstorms.  A much cooler and drier
airmass then builds in briefly for Sunday before we return to a
warmer and unsettled weather pattern for the new work week.
