...FLOOD WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM THIS EVENING
   THROUGH FRIDAY MORNING...

The Flood Watch continues for

* A portion of southeast Ohio, including the following areas,
  Athens, Hocking, Jackson OH, Morgan, Perry, Vinton, and Washington.

* From this evening through Friday morning

* 1 to 3 inches of rain.

* Flooding of creeks, streams, low lying and poor drainage areas
  will be possible.

A Flood Watch means there is a potential for flooding based on
current forecasts.

...DISCUSSION...

A slow moving cold front will approach the region from the west this
afternoon, stalling near or just west of the Ohio River tonight. The
front will bring chances of showers to some of the area this afternoon
and tonight, with the best chances in southeast Ohio and northeast
Kentucky. This cold front will remain stalled over southeast Ohio
thorugh Thursday before a wave of low pressure moves through and pulls
the front eastward across the Appalachains Mount ains Thursday night
and Friday.  Showers should linger into Saturday as an upper level
system passes by. High pressure will bring a drying trend to end the
weekend, with the next weather system arriving toward the middle of
next week.
