HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE CHARLESTON WV
331 AM EST FRI JAN 30 2015

A LOW PRESSURE SYSTEM WILL CROSS THE REGION SUNDAY AND
MONDAY...BRINGING WITH IT THE THREAT FOR WINTRY PRECIPITATION.
THERE REMAINS CONSIDERABLE UNCERTAINTY WITH THE TRACK OF THIS
SYSTEM...WHICH WILL ULTIMATELY DETERMINE THE PRECIPITATION TYPES
ACROSS THE AREA AND SNOW ACCUMULATIONS. IN ADDITION...AS THIS SYSTEM
MOVES OFF TO THE EAST WIDESPREAD SNOW SHOWERS WILL DEVELOP WITH
ACCUMULATIONS A GOOD POSSIBILITY.

WINTER WEATHER HEADLINES MAY EVENTUALLY BE NEEDED FOR PORTIONS OF
THE REGION...ONCE CONFIDENCE INCREASES ON THE TRACK OF THIS SYSTEM.

...DISCUSSION...

QUIET BUT COLD WEATHER WILL TAKE HOLD ACROSS THE AREA FRIDAY NIGHT.
WIND CHILL ADVISORIES MAY BE NEEDED FOR THE NORTHERN MOUNTAINS FRIDAY
NIGHT INTO SATURDAY MORNING...AS GUSTY WINDS ARE EXPECTED TO CONTINUE
BEHIND THE DEPARTING SYSTEM. A LOW PRESSURE SYSTEM WILL BRING A WINTRY
MIX SUNDAY...AND SNOW SUNDAY NIGHT INTO EARLY MONDAY....WITH SNOW
ACCUMULATIONS LIKELY. COLD HIGH PRESSURE TAKES OVER LATER MONDAY INTO
TUESDAY. ANOTHER COLD FRONT PASSES WEDNESDAY.
