...DISCUSSION...
SPOTTY LIGHT PRECIPITATION MAY TAKE VARIOUS FORMS OVER CENTRAL AND
SOUTHERN WEST VIRGINIA THIS MORNING...BUT SHOULD NOT AMOUNT TO MUCH.
OTHERWISE...CLOUDS WILL GENERALLY INCREASE...LOWER AND THICKEN TODAY
INTO TONIGHT...WITH AN INCREASING CHANCE FOR RAIN LATE TONIGHT FROM
SOUTH TO NORTH...AS A WARM FRONT ASSOCIATED WITH A LARGE LOW PRESSURE
SYSTEM...APPROACHES FROM THE SOUTHWEST. IT MAY BE COLD ENOUGH FOR
FREEZING RAIN OVER EAST CENTRAL OHIO...AND THE MOUNTAINS OF WEST
VIRGINIA...MAINLY ON THE EAST SLOPES...WHEN PRECIPITATION BEGINS.
THE LOW PRESSURE STORM SYSTEM LIFTS NORTHEAST FROM THE LOWER
MISSISSIPPI VALLEY EARLY SATURDAY INTO THE GREAT LAKES OVERNIGHT
SATURDAY NIGHT. AHEAD OF AN ASSOCIATED COLD FRONT...SOUTH WINDS WILL
BRING MILD AIR INTO THE REGION SATURDAY INTO SATURDAY NIGHT. GUSTY
SHOWERS ARE EXPECTED SATURDAY NIGHT...AHEAD OF...AND ALONG THE COLD
FRONT. THERE COULD EVEN BE A FEW RUMBLES OF THUNDER SOUTH AND WEST OF
WEST VIRGINIA. BLUSTERY WINDS SHOULD BRING COLDER AIR OUR WAY BY
SUNDAY AFTERNOON. THESE WINDS...COLD AIR AND SUFFICIENT MOISTURE
COULD RESULT IN A BRIEF PERIOD OF UPSLOPE SNOW SHOWERS SUNDAY NIGHT.
HOWEVER...LITTLE...IF ANY...SNOW ACCUMULATIONS ARE ANTICIPATED.
