HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE CHARLESTON WV
438 AM EDT SUN JUN 13 2010
THUNDERSTORM COMPLEXES ARE FORECAST TO IMPACT THE AREA INTO
WEDNESDAY NIGHT...MAINTAINING THE THREAT FOR FLASH FLOODING AS
WELL AS FOR SEVERE WEATHER IN THE FORM OF DAMAGING WIND AND LARGE
HAIL. THE STORM PREDICTION CENTER HAS WESTERN PORTIONS OF THE AREA
UNDER A SLIGHT RISK FOR SEVERE WEATHER FOR BOTH MONDAY AND
TUESDAY. THIS MAY NEED TO BE EXPANDED EASTWARD DEPENDING UPON
THE EVOLUTION AND TIMING OF SPECIFIC INDIVIDUAL COMPLEXES.
.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...
WEATHER SPOTTERS ARE ENCOURAGED TO REPORT SIGNIFICANT WEATHER
CONDITIONS ACCORDING TO STANDARD OPERATING PROCEDURES.
...SYNOPSIS...
AN UNSTABLE AND VERY WARM HUMID AIR MASS...WITH PASSING
DISTURBANCES...WILL AGAIN PRODUCE SCATTERED SHOWERS AND
THUNDERSTORMS TODAY. DOWNPOURS MAY CONTINUE TO CAUSE WATER PROBLEMS
FOR LOCATIONS THAT HAVE ALREADY RECEIVED HEAVY RAINFALL.
THE WARM AND HUMID WEATHER CONTINUES THROUGH MID WEEK WITH A
PERSISTENT CHANCE FOR SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS. THIS IS ON ACCOUNT
OF A FRONT THAT WILL BE WAFFLING BACK AND FORTH ACROSS THE MIDDLE
OHIO VALLEY AND CENTRAL APPALACHIANS. THE FRONT WILL FINALLY MOVE
ON THROUGH WEDNESDAY NIGHT...ALLOWING FOR A DRY END TO THE WORK WEEK.
WITH ANY LUCK...THIS SETS US UP FOR A HOT AND DRY START TO THE
NEXT WEEKEND...COURTESY OF A BUILDING HIGH PRESSURE SYSTEM AT THAT
TIME. BUT...SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS RETURN BEFORE NEXT WEEKEND IS
OUT...AS A COLD FRONT APPROACHES FROM THE WEST.
