STARS 9/20 MINUTES


  1.  Fall quarter event
     *   Movie night
     *   pizza, pop, popcorn
     *   Movie that demonstrates racism 2.0
  2.  Fundraising
     *   Possible fundraising ideas: Bake sale, apple cider, smores, puppy chow
     *   Need to come up with WHEN/WHAT/WHERE
        *   focus on weekends with big events
  3.  Dues
     *   5$ and due by the fifth week!!
  4.  Next week
     *   Dr. Bridges, our new advisor is coming to meeting to discuss poster campaign, as well as future plans for STARS.
     *   Plan fundraising event.
     *   Watch videos of Tim Wise and reflect on his speech.
  5.  Racisim 2.0 discussion
     *   Went over house bill 194, and how some of its principles can allow racism to occur.
     *   911 was when there was a shift/addition to racisim 2.0


WEEK 4 MEETING IS TOMORROW AT 6:00PM IN BAKER 356.
