We are currently looking for a Student Affairs Coordinator to work in our Health Profession Division at Nova Southeastern University located in sunny Fort Lauderdale, Florida. This position will provide Student Affairs programs and services to over 400 Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine students. These are some of the best and brightest students that I have ever worked with. Our medical programs are highly competitive and draw students from some of the best undergraduate colleges in the country.

Primary Purpose:  Assist the Director of Student Services in interacting and serving as liaison between students, staff, faculty, vendors and community members to facilitate the success of student programs.

Essential Job Functions:  1. Must possess organizational skills in order to ensure student events are held in accordance with University standards and policies.

2. Responsible for working with students to assist them in solving problems presented.

3. Serve as customer-relations worker, interacting with those that may make inquiries about the college's different programs. Ensure that program reference material is current for all programs in the COM.

4. Responsible for coordinating the use of facilities and equipment if needed.

5. Attend meetings, regional, national and institutional, to present programs and student opportunities.

6. May be required to work evenings or weekends in order to attend extracurricular student events and the COM events.

7. Assist with such student events as White Coat Ceremony, Senior Week, Orientation, Graduation, etc.

8. Must be comfortable working with students from a variety of social and economic backgrounds.

9. Be willing to represent the COM at community events, etc. if needed.

10. Assist with all aspects of Medical Student Performance Evaluations (MPSE) and Electronic Residency Application service (ERAS) when needed.

11. Must be professional in presentation.

12. Other duties as requested.

Marginal Job Functions:  Must be willing and able to do unlimited traveling.
