[Spa-L] SPA Updates!

SPA has selected the Last Chance Corral as our community service project this quarter.

There are two dates open for us to come volunteer (we need to pick one):

October 22 from 10:00am-1:00pm
or
November 5 10:00am-1:00pm

I need at least 10 volunteers to commit to one of these days! We would we helping clean stalls, etc. But would also have a chance to see the horses! Please let me know if you can commit!

We discussed our two upcoming socials (mark your calendars) at todays SPA meeting:

Saturday Oct 15 Homecoming tailgating: Starts at noon at the Pepsi Tailgate Park (across from the Convo). Second Years are providing the potluck sides for this event.
Alumni, Faculty and Ph.D students are welcome!

Thursday Oct 20 Progressive Dinner (appetizers): Event starts at 7:00pm we will be at each house for 45 minutes with 10 minutes for travel to each location. Each location will have a THEME (i.e. mexican, italian, cosmopolitan and have appetizers/snacks plus drinks for the theme)
Faculty and Ph.D students are welcome!

If you are not hosting a party, but plan on attending please contact one of our hosts to help contribute! We want everyone to contribute for this event to be successful and so that the hosts don't end up paying for all of this!

At the SPA meeting prior to the progressive dinner we will be discussing parking and apartment numbers and carpooling!
